  • No matter what your problem
  • no matter what you’re confused about
  • no matter how frustrated you feel

WE’VE SEEN YOUR PROBLEM BEFORE!

I don’t mean you’re not unique. In fact, often discovering your uniqueness is part of the solution. What I am emphasizing is that possibly your frustration comes from working hard, but on the wrong problem!

Did you ever consider that?

Einstein said:

“You can never solve a problem using the same mind that created it.

We can provide the objectivity, the kind of “outside the box” thinking you need to get on the right track.

Time and time again, people come to see us and they’re working very hard but on the wrong problem! And no matter how hard they work they’re never going to get the results they’re looking for until they start applying all that effort to the real problem.

Check out these case studies:

CASE STUDY #1

Name: Susan

Susan’s Story: She was spending all her time tweeking her Resume convinced that it was her resume that wasn’t working for her and hence the de facto culprit in her not getting more interviews.

Real Problem: Poor handling of the always dangerous salary question resulted in Susan getting screened out of interviews and never even getting a chance to create a value proposition based on her experience and skill set.

Results: Susan rehearsed a “what were you earning at your last job” reply and got into the very next interview she applied for.

CASE STUDY #2

Name: Carl

Carl’s Story: Carl was seeking a management position in the housekeeping side of the hospitality industry came to me for help. He was getting job interviews but not getting hired. He was convinced that he needed to sell himself better in the interview.

Real Problem: Carl was burned out with Hospitality. Deep down he wanted to work with higher level people. Interviewers picked up that dissatisfaction.

Results: fixing that and 3 other problem areas and Carl shifted his focus to joining a consulting firm that did the same kind of team-building Carl was good at, but with more professional, technical, managerial level people.

CASE STUDY #3

Name: Mary Jo

Mary Jo’s Story: Mary Jo was seeking a career in a medical field. She came complaining that her networking always led to “dead ends”.

Real Problem: Our session revealed that her problem really was a job focus that was too narrowly defined. It turned out the only hospitals large enough to require the full-time position she was seeking would also require relocation something she had already ruled out.

Results: We expanded Mary Jo’s focus so she not only targeted hospitals, but management level in clinics, small medical practices, medical records management, etc. Her networking expanded exponentially, leading to new work.

As promised, here are the four biggest things that can torpedo any job search campaign:

  1. Inefficient and wasteful use of valuable time in your search
  2. Thinking you can get by with just a resume in this competitive climate
  3. Wasting a lot of time on the internet
  4. Unprepared to confidently address the salary question which will get you screened out of interviews

Here are the four webinars that address these “torpedoes:”

  1. Speed Search
  2. Don’t Send That Resume
  3. Job Search 2.0
  4. Salary Negotiations
