He has coached many people one on one to prepare for those difficult salary discussions, assisting high-profile executives to add hundreds of thousands to their compensation, middle managers to finally get paid for the value they bring to the company, and hourly-wage workers to bargain for extra benefits or perks
Jack’s background includes seven years of study in the Jesuit order, where he earned a B.A. degree with 5 majors: Classics, Philosophy, Theology, Mathematics, and English. The holder of a master’s degree in Vocational Guidance, he has had a wide variety of careers himself–teaching at the high school and college level, real estate management, corporate training and development, and career management consulting.

Steve has been helping people to get their careers moving since 1992. He’s a published career columnist in the Pioneer Press newspaper and the Daily Herald. He has worked in both private practice and in affiliation with a national career counseling organization, personally assisting over 700 people in improving their careers.
Steve has also helped numerous clients to win better salary packages as a salary negotiations coach. He has presented numerous workshops to audiences in many settings. Steve holds a masters degree in Public Administration. Prior to his career work, Steve’s background includes work in all three sectors: government, nonprofit and for profit. Besides his private sector work in computer training and career work, he has been a Legislative Assistant in the Wisconsin State Legislature, as well as the Executive Director of the Chicago Area Committee on Occupational Safety and Health.
